6th Carbon: Custom Build, Return & Liability Policy

By accessing, browsing, or completing a purchase at sixthcarbon.com, you (the buyer) inherently acknowledge, understand, and legally agree to the following strict operational, manufacturing, and liability policies. Due to the bespoke, aerospace-grade, and motorsport nature of our components, these terms are strictly enforced with no exceptions.

1. Bespoke & Made-to-Order Merchandise

At 6th Carbon, we do not mass-produce our components. Every aerospace-grade dry carbon roll cage and structural component is a strictly bespoke, made-to-order item meticulously crafted to your exact vehicle configuration. Upon order placement, expensive aerospace raw materials are immediately allocated, and your production slot in our manufacturing schedule is permanently secured.

2. All Sales Are Strictly Final (No Returns or Exchanges)

Because our products are highly specialized, zero-tolerance custom structural parts, all sales are strictly final.

Due to the bespoke manufacturing process, we do not accept returns, issue refunds, or process exchanges under any circumstances. This non-negotiable policy applies to, but is not limited to:

  • Buyer's remorse or a change of mind.
  • Changes in vehicle ownership or project direction.
  • Incorrect vehicle specifications provided by the customer at checkout (e.g., ordering for the wrong model year, wrong chassis, or incorrect seat configuration).
  • Delays in third-party installation schedules.

3. Strict Order Cancellation Window

Because manufacturing, engineering, and material allocation begin immediately upon purchase, orders cannot be canceled, altered, or refunded once 48 hours have passed from the exact time of checkout.

4. The Sole Exception: Verified Factory Defects

We stand entirely behind our engineering and craftsmanship. The strictly sole exception to our "All Sales Final" policy is in the highly unlikely event of a verified structural manufacturing defect originating directly from our facility.

If you believe your product possesses a factory defect, you must adhere to the following strict protocol:

  • Reporting Window: Claims must be submitted in writing (with high-resolution photos/videos) to our support team within three (3) days of the delivery date.
  • Uninstalled Condition: The product MUST remain 100% uninstalled, unaltered, and in its original pristine condition. If a roll cage has been test-fitted, bolted, torqued, or modified in any way, it is legally considered accepted by the buyer, and all defect claims are instantly and permanently voided.
  • Resolution: 6th Carbon reserves the exclusive right to evaluate the claim. If a defect is verified by our engineering team, our sole obligation — and the customer's sole remedy — will be the repair or direct replacement of the defective component at our absolute discretion. No outright cash refunds will be issued for defective items.

5. Exclusions from Defect Claims

To maintain absolute transparency, the following scenarios are explicitly excluded from being classified as factory defects:

  • Carbon Fiber Aesthetic Disclaimer: Pre-preg dry carbon fiber is a hand-laid motorsport material. Minor visual inconsistencies in the carbon weave pattern, slight clear-coat leveling at complex CNC joints, or microscopic surface variances are inherent to authentic composite manufacturing. These are normal characteristics of motorsport-grade materials and do not constitute a structural or factory defect.
  • Fitment & Installation Liability: Our components are engineered to absolute zero-tolerance specifications. Professional installation by a certified Porsche motorsport facility is strictly required. Any damage caused during unboxing, handling, or installation — including but not limited to cross-threading CNC aluminum joints, over-torquing bolts, scratching the clear coat, or forcing fitment — is strictly the liability of the installer and immediately voids any and all claims against 6th Carbon.

6. Product Variants & Intended Use

The 6th Carbon Porsche roll cage is offered in two distinct configurations engineered for fundamentally different purposes. By selecting and purchasing a specific variant at checkout, the buyer explicitly acknowledges and accepts the following:

  • Track Version — Independently compression-tested by TÜV against FIA 2023 Homologation Regulations for Safety Cages §2.2.1. Engineered as a roll-over protection structure and sold strictly for OFF-ROAD, CLOSED-CIRCUIT, AND MOTORSPORT COMPETITION USE. Not DOT-approved for public highway use.
  • Touring Version — A chassis-stiffening structural brace intended for street and spirited road driving only. The Touring Version IS NOT A ROLL-OVER PROTECTION DEVICE. It has not been compression-tested against FIA Homologation Regulations and is NOT intended or suitable for wheel-to-wheel racing, time-attack, autocross with required roll-over protection, or any closed-course motorsport activity where a sanctioning body (PCA, SCCA, FIA, NASA, etc.) requires homologation-certified or compression-tested cages.

Use of the Touring Version outside of its intended street-use scope, or use of either variant in a manner inconsistent with the buyer's selected configuration, is at the buyer's sole risk and immediately voids all warranty and liability obligations of 6th Carbon.

7. Assumption of Risk & Motorsport Disclaimer

The Track Version, including its integrated harness bar, is engineered and sold strictly for OFF-ROAD, CLOSED-CIRCUIT, AND MOTORSPORT COMPETITION USE ONLY. It is not DOT-approved for public highway use.

Motorsport, high-speed driving, and track events are inherently dangerous activities that can result in severe property damage, serious injury, or death. While engineered to exceed professional safety standards, no product can guarantee absolute protection in a severe collision or rollover. By purchasing, installing, or utilizing 6th Carbon products, the buyer and the user explicitly acknowledge and entirely assume all associated risks. 6th Carbon, its affiliates, employees, and founders shall not be held liable, financially or legally, for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, injury, or loss of life arising from the use, misuse, or structural failure of the product under dynamic conditions.

8. Limitation of Liability & Third-Party Costs

6th Carbon's absolute maximum financial liability is strictly limited to the original purchase price of the product itself. Under absolutely no circumstances will 6th Carbon be held financially responsible for any third-party or ancillary costs incurred by the customer or their installation facility. This explicit exclusion includes, but is not limited to:

  • Shop labor, installation, modification, troubleshooting, or removal fees.
  • Vehicle downtime, storage fees, or rental car costs.
  • Track day cancellations, event entry fees, or travel expenses.

9. Transit Damage & Freight Inspection Protocol

Our bespoke components are meticulously packaged and fully insured before leaving our facility. However, once the freight is handed to the carrier, risk of loss transfers to the buyer. You or your designated installation facility MUST physically inspect the exterior packaging and the product immediately upon delivery.

  • If any damage to the box or product is found, you must explicitly write "RECEIVED DAMAGED" on the courier's delivery receipt before the driver leaves.
  • All transit damage must be reported to 6th Carbon within 48 hours of delivery with high-resolution photographic evidence.

If you or your shop sign for the package "free and clear" without noting damage, or fail to report it within the strictly enforced 48-hour window, the freight insurance is legally voided. 6th Carbon accepts zero liability to replace, repair, or refund items for transit damage discovered after a clean signature is provided.

10. Production Lead Times & Delays

As a bespoke manufacturer utilizing aerospace-grade materials, our production schedules can be impacted by global material availability, autoclave scheduling, and strict quality-control protocols. Therefore, any estimated time of arrival (ETA) or lead time provided on the website, via email, or by a representative is strictly an estimate, not a legally binding guarantee.

We refuse to compromise our structural engineering standards to rush an order. A delay in manufacturing or shipping does not invalidate our "All Sales Final" policy and does not constitute valid grounds for an order cancellation, refund, or credit card chargeback.

11. International Duties & Abandoned Shipments

For international orders, shipping quotes cover freight transportation costs only. The buyer is strictly the Importer of Record and is 100% responsible for all import duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, and local government taxes.

If an international shipment is refused by the buyer due to a reluctance to pay customs fees, or is abandoned at customs, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. The buyer forfeits the product and will be held legally and financially liable for any return shipping costs, storage fees, or customs penalties incurred by 6th Carbon as a result of the abandonment.
